Calendar of Events

PYMO welcomes music lovers of all ages including families with young children.

All concerts, unless indicated otherwise, will be held in Sexson Auditorium on the campus of Pasadena City College at 1570 East Colorado in Pasadena. Parking is $2 in all PCC lots.

Tickets are available for purchase on the day of the concert at a suggested donation price of $7 for adults and $5 for seniors and students. Children 9 and under are free.

Pasadena Young Musicians Orchestra is a non-profit organization that relies on support from the community and local grants.

Rehearsals

All rehearsals are on Sundays at Pasadena City College from 6:00PM to 8:30 PM
except for the 2 rehearsals before each concert which will end at 9:00 pm.

September: All Sundays, starting the 23 (Parent Meeting 6-6:30), 30

November: 4, 11, 18 - Concert at 3:30 Call time 12PM for crew and 12:45PM for orchestra
(No rehearsal on 25 which is Thanksgiving Weekend)

January: 6, 13, 20, 27
February: 3, 10, 15, 16, 17, 18, (retreat at PCC & CSULA, 15, 17 & 18 at PCC and 16 at CSULA)
24 (concert date moved to March 17, regular rehearsal will take place)

PYMO Concert: March 17th, 2013, 3:30PM Sexson Auditorium, Pasadena City College.
Concert at 3:30 Call time at 12PM for crew and 12:45PM for orchestra. This concert, we will feature Hungarian violinist Rajmund Onodi who came to Los Angeles especially for this performance. He will be performing the Brahms Violin Concerto. Other works in the concert will include Wagner Tannhauser Overture, Copland Fanfare for the Common Man, Mozart Symphony No.25, Mascagni Intermezzo and Chabrier Espana.

PYMO Concert: Saturday, May 4, 2013 at the Ambassador Auditorium, 131 South St. John Ave, Pasadena, CA 91105. PYMO is invited by the Pasadena Symphony Association to perform at the Ambassador Auditorium at the PYSO concert beginning at 2PM. Concert is FREE of charge. Chamber groups of PYMO are also invited to perform at the JPL Choral Concert at 7PM at the Ambassador Auditorium the same evening.
